We've done Urgoz a few times with heroes but it was before Hundred Blades was buffed. But if I were to do Urgoz again with heroes, it'd be with HB. And the wolves aren't really that nasty: Weakness, PS and SoA worked just fine for us.

Do you mean the initial pull? I dodge the first Soul Form because I can't predict from where his posse will spawn from.

IIRC, spirtway is better for vanquishing than sabway.

I totaly suck as a warrior so which one of his setups do you use?
To the original maker of this topic, since you obviously know a lot more about warrior and the game mechanics. Does your HB setup also work well outside the dungeons? I now use a triplle chop axe warrior with sabway but it feels like taking forever to kill a balanced group.
So what I am trying to ask is, do you use a similar build outside dungeons for let say normal campaignin, missions stuff like that or something else?
thanks

The HB build is decent, but it's not nearly as amazing without the MoP and the RoJs to spike the damage in.
Essentially, it's a H/H Tank and Spank build. The success of it really depends on your ability to ball enemies and micromanage properly (the micro is the easier part to pull off, the balling can be hit and miss depending on the mobs).

It works anywhere you can ball monsters. And to answer your question I use this for everything, save for a few gimmick missions & zones.
And to Joey: For comparison, SoO takes me 40~ minutes to finish. but I never tried to clear it as fast as possible so faster time should be possible.

You'll probably be able to get it working with other melee characters. The builds are based around balling everything up and killing everything with a massive AoE nuke. Your profession is irrelevant for RoJ builds, but you'll need to be /W if you want to go for HB/WA/MoP.

I've been using these builds on both my warrior and scythe ranger (with a few changes of course) and I've got to say there not many places I think I even died once at. Obviously the warrior did better but you can certainly use other professions as the tanks just warrior is better suited at the job.

Managed to do SoO. Only died once myself because I flagged my heroes/H just a tad too far. Best tutorial on Guru imo.

Are there any guides to vanquishing or HM missions? I'm having problems with factions areas, afflicted in particular.

there are plenty of places for cornerblocking in the city, you shouldnt really be having a problem there. theres an article on tanking on the wiki, you might want to read that

This looks very interesting.
I would like to learn how to play like this, but microing was never a strong point (I played SC and my APM was only an average of 50-60, 70 if it was intensive)
How important are the weapon setups? Can I use a generic staff in the mean-time for HM?
For Slaver's Exile, Duncan, do you do the same thing? Lure and keep party flagged out of reach while you whittle down his hp?
And in your videos, I can't keep track of what spells you cast @_@ and is a -energy regen + energy on hit mod necessary?

I've tried this last night (successfully) on SoO and thought I'd share a few comments/opinions.
-I've been playing Dragon Slash with a Sabway team with great effectiveness for so long, I'd gotten into a mindset that it would solve most problems. The builds in this article made me think quite differently.
-Similarly, the comments about Hero runes and insignia also made me think.
-I was amazed at how effective these builds are once you properly ball up the enemy mob - the swarms of yellow damage scores are pretty to watch.
-I didn't micro the Heroes at all (horror) but they did a pretty good job on their own. I took it slow (I wasn't trying to break records) and concentrated on position (me and team) and my own skill bar.
-Crewmember Shandra gets in the way - of the enemy mobs as well! Use her to enhance your balling up of them. She's hard to position 'just so' but when the environment doesn't offer too many good blocking opportunities, it's worth spending the time to coax her into a good position.
-Zombie brutes that run around you and hit your casters suck.
Next stop Rragar's ...
All in all, this article was/is great: and for more than just the builds. Thanks EFGJack.

well thanks to post this!
i play with my heroes aswell, but mostley with someone else so we got 2 players and 6 heroes, then we get team builds, they are a bit more effective then the henchman. but ill give it a try as you prove with henchman it is also doable!
